Six Night Court Haikus

1.

Town Court meets at night.
Lit up building filled with cops.
The judge, a farmer.

2.

Without the highway
no lead foot cars or lawyers,
only swaying cows.

3.

There is no dinner.
Glacial negotiations.
The time stands too still.

4.

Trial by combat
is messy, unfair, brutal,
a small improvement.

5.

If a circus van
arrived at this wax museum
I would run, join it.

6.

It is no secret:
No one can abolish it.
Court is forever.
